This time of year gives us a lot of time to think about what we are thankful for. I'd like to take this opportunity to quickly look back on JML's 2019 season and look forward to 2020.

Happy Holidays

JML would like to wish you Happy Holidays.

JML had a successful season in 2019 and that would not be possible without all the players, coaches, parents, members and supporters of the league. From a successful 2019 winter workout to winning 2 more Babe Ruth State Titles, the players showed their hard work and determination. Our coaches are the best because they put up with a lot of additional tasks besides coaching and still manage to provide the players with a quality experience at practices and games making our spring and fall seasons successful.

Parents and supporters showed why our league is special allowing the league to host successful events such as the Richard Conklin Field re-dedication & picnic to hosting district, state and regional tournaments at Wasson, Academy, Francis and Benard fields. We have to thank the city for helping renovate Francis Field & Mayor Blake for once again recognizing our league at the Board of Alderman meeting in September.

With the new year right around the corner, we begin to look ahead to 2020. Milford has some exciting baseball additions to look forward to. Milford Baseball would not have a brand new Baseball & Softball Indoor Training Center or Milford American Legion Post 196 returning without the recent success of JML's Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth programs. Additional programs to our impressive foundation will only make Milford Baseball programs stronger.

Of course, we have our own programs to brag about. JML's new divisions in 2019 of Born To Play for ages 3-4 and Coach Pitch at 5-6 were a huge success. We will again put together 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 & 15U Tournament Teams. In 2019, we advanced to the state tournaments in 5 age groups and regionals in 3 ages. Our immediate focus will be strengthening our spring Ripken & Babe Ruth divisions as we look to increase our numbers of teams in each divisions. Our partnership with West Haven is expanding and there are new towns we will be able to play against moving forward.

We hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and the holiday season. We look forward to working with everyone to continue to improve Junior Major League and allow us be your choice for baseball for the upcoming season and beyond!
