Junior Major League and Milford Veteran & Parade Commission have partnered to honor PFC Conklin at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Donut Crazy is providing donuts that will be available at 10:30 a.m. and the ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. with the singing of the national anthem by a local singer.

Mayor Ben Blake, along with additional city officals, will join our local veterans and JML families to honor PFC Conklin 50 years from the day the field was originally dedicated.

"We are honored that PFC Conklin's family has made the trip from Florida to attend the event. This event would not have been possible without league members putting in countless hours and with the help of both the Veteran's commission and Milford Public Works. Our VP, commissioners and field coordinators have basically lived at Conklin the last two weeks. The amount of time and effort they put in is clear to see and much appreciated." JML President, John Wezenski

The first 25 JML families to arrive will receive a Milford Baseball Car Magnet and all players attending will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card credit to our online apparel store that opens next week. We will draw three winners in the amounts of $50, $25 and $10.

Wezenski ended his remarks with the following, "we want JML to be a big part of Milford's community. This fulfills our promise as a league to provide players with a positive experience on and off the field. While we continue to showcase Milford's talented young athletes with on field success, events like this can shape our young players for the future and we are already planning future events. I am excited about the direction of the league, proud of how Conklin field has improved over the last 18 months and excited to see everyone at the field tomorrow!"
